We can
digitally repair copies of old photographs of your ancestors
to make them look like new. Old antique photographs will almost
certainly have suffered the ravages of time, and are often creased,
faded or damaged.
Provided that important parts of the photograph have not been
completely destroyed (such as faces!) we can reconstruct and
enhance the photograph to restore it to it's original condition.
This includes removal of scratches and other areas of damage,
balancing the contrast, brightness and colour (if necessary),
and increasing the sharpness. All of this work is meticulously
done by hand to a very high standard.
Antique photo restoration is achieved by scanning the original
copy of the photograph and either sending the scanned image by
e-mail or supplying the image by mail on a CD-ROM.*
* IMPORTANT: We do not accept original photographs in the
mail due to the chance of a treasured original photograph being
lost forever!
You will have the option of receiving your restored photo
either as a high quality glossy print, or supplied on a professionally
produced CD-ROM, or made available for download via the web.
PRICES
Photo restoration starts at £10 ($18*), and
is dependent on the quality of the image supplied and the format
you wish the restored photo to be supplied in. A very badly damaged
photograph may cost up to £100 ($180*) to repair. You will
be advised on the price and asked to pay only after we have seen
the original photo image.
